National Day of the Czech Republic
The Ambassador of the Czech Republic H.E. Štefan Füle celebrated with his Czech compatriots the National Day of the Czech Republic. The reception was held at the Czech Embassy on Thursday 28th October 2004.
Among many Czech and international celebrities was present also Lord Norman Tebitt who is in charge of the project to build a monument for the RAF pilots who fought during the Second World War. Many Czech pilots lost their lives during the Battle of Brittain, and their names will be, thanks to the monument, always remembered.
Lord Tebitt was presented with a cheque for £52,700 by the ambassador H.E. Štefan Füle.
