Match of the Season

Newly promoted champions of the Watford White Division, LONDON ROAD junior team, challenged their parents to a friendly match. This gruelling encounter took place on 2nd May 2005 ( next day after my 60th birthday party...) The match was played in a lightning speed, full of incredible ball skills and trickery. Juniors were lucky to keep the score levelled in full time. After extra time, the score was still 3 : 3, therefore, the winner had to be decided on penalties. Needless to say, both Andrew and I scored for our teams, his was a forceful hit, mine was a well placed gently tapping goal. At the end of the footballing 'exhibition', the boys managed to get one over us..

They were no grudges borne, and we all posed, laughing and joking, for a friendly photo-shoot.
