Football Press Interpreter
In February 2008 I joined the CFL (Clark Football Languages) football team. My first assignment was to welcome Slavia Prague to London, where they played 2nd leg of the EUFA Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur. The day before the match I went to the Spurs training ground Spurs Lodge in Chigwell. My job was to attend a pre-match conference with Spurs coach Juande Ramos, make notes what was discussed and relay my information to the Czech media together with my Welcome translation text handed to me by the chief Spurs Press Officer. All this was then inserted to the Welcome pack handout and distributed later among Czech journalists at the stadium in White Hart Lane. From Spurs Lodge I then headed to White Hart Lane to attend the Czech coach pre-match conference and watch Slavia players during their training.
Next day, the day of the match, I went again to White Hart Lane, collected my accreditation in Press Lounge, had a nice dinner, and proceeded to watch the match in the Press Box, right behind the Spurs dugout. After the match I attended the post-match conference with Juande Ramos.
